Our paper options include Hahnemuhle Photorag, German Etching and Fine Art Baryta. We’ll help you chose the paper that is best for your image or art. Here are some guidelines but, as in all matters of taste, you’ll know what you like when you see it. If this is your first time using this service, we really love Fine Art Baryta for photographic images. All of these papers are acid free and will last a lifetime when properly displayed and cared for.
Fine Art Papers
Hahnemuhle Photorag 308
Lakeside Camera Photoworks recommends Hahnemuhle Photorag 308 for most photographic images. This paper is 100 percent cotton rag, has a bright white base and an exceptionally smooth surface for sharp, colorful, long lasting prints.
Hahnemuhle German Etching 310
Hahnemuhle German Etching has a slightly warmer color than Photorag and just a little more surface texture. We like this paper for reproducing art. Sketches and paintings as well as antique photographs work well with German Etching.
Hahnemuhle Fine Art Baryta 325
The paper’s unique glossy, baryta surface lends itself perfectly to black and white prints with an extremely high dmax (deep rich blacks) and finest grey tones as well as brilliant color. Its premium inkjet coating also offers a very high level of water resistance. This paper is the perfect modern replacement for the wonderful fiber based papers that traditional darkroom enthusiasts love.
